Barrantes & Associates Inc., provides direct, community-based support to individuals of varying needs and abilities. Our support areas include: Behaviour support, Respite support, Parenting Time Supervision, and Rehabilitation support.

• Behaviour Associate (BA)

A successful candidate must:  

• Maintain a high standard of care, compassion, and commitment.  
• Be able to build and maintain rapport with clients who have complex needs. 
• Have the proven ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting.  
• Be able to work with clients of all demographics; including, but not limited to clients with dual diagnoses, developmental disabilities, and complex behaviours, as well as individuals with acquired brain injuries and other physical disabilities. 
• Be committed to professional development. 
• Have flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.   

Qualifications: 

• College diploma or University degree in the social service sector (i.e., SSW, CYW, PSW, DSW, OTA/PTA, BSW, etc.) 
• Experience in the social service field 
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain access to a reliable vehicle for travel in the community.  
• Must possess valid First Aid and CPR training.  
• Must be able to obtain a valid, negative Vulnerable Sector Check. 
• Additional training in trauma-informed practice and behaviour management systems is preferred.  
• Crisis intervention training is considered an asset.
