Human Resources Manager

As Human Resources Manager at Barrantes & Associates Inc., Genie specializes in human resources, people and culture, and payroll. She is passionate about fostering meaningful professional relationships, supporting employees, and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

With more than two decades of administrative and management experience across both the private and public sectors, Genie brings a progressive approach to human resources and a commitment to creating engaging and supportive work environments. Her educational background includes Human Resources Management, Payroll, Fashion and Journalism. She is an active member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) and the National Payroll Institute (NPI).

Genie holds both the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designations. 

Outside of work, Genie is passionate about animal welfare and has volunteered with farm sanctuaries, animal shelters, and cat rescue organizations. She has also fostered homeless cats while they awaited their forever homes. In her spare time, Genie enjoys gardening, cooking, watching classic TV series from the 1980s, and exploring local hiking trails.
